Women's XC Takes 4th at Bryn Mawr

MEDIA, Pa. – Rachel Conhoff turned her collegiate debut into a top-10 finish as the Ursinus College women's cross country team opened the 2019 campaign with a fourth-place showing at the Bryn Mawr Invitational.

Conhoff completed the 5-kilometer track at Rose Tree Park in 21:17.08, good for ninth overall in a field numbering over 100.

Lauren Ferguson was the next Bear across the line, crossing in 22:44.25 to place 22nd. First-year Holly Chambers was 26th at 23:03.13 in her debut, while senior Alyson Manley landed in 29th with a mark of 23:20.36.

Alex West turned in a 24:12.36 (43rd) in her first career race, and sophomore Amanda Choi was right behind at 24:20.79 (47th). Junior Meredith Steele (24:54.95) and junior Bianca Joseph (25:37.66) rounded out the Ursinus contingent.

Eastern captured the team title with 24 total places, with Swarthmore (48) coming in runner-up and Bryn Mawr (96) taking third.

The Bears are next in action on September 14 at the Penn State Abington Invitational.
