COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – In its final meet before ECAC Championships on Saturday, and its final dual meet at home this season, the Ursinus College gymnastics team had their best team score in two years with a 187.425 in a meet with Temple on Sunday.

The Owls won the meet with a total score of 192.325.

Ursinus' 187.425 was its highest team score since putting together a 187.200 against West Chester on February 24, 2012.

The Bears went 47.125 on the beam, 46.850 on the vault, 46.775 on the floor and 46.675 on the bars on Senior Day.

Senior Monica Durham, competing in her final home meet along with Megan Bolash, finished second in the All-Around with a score of 38.100. She had a 9.675 on the bars, a 9.650 on the vault, a 9.400 on the floor and a 9.375 on the beam.

Individually, junior Kristin Aichele posted a 9.650 on the vault to tie her with Durham for the team-high. Both finished third. Bolash scored a 9.275 with junior Riley Acton going at 9.150 and freshman Vanessa Scalora getting a 9.125. Freshman Allyson Getty had a 9.000.

On the bars, Durham led the way with a 9.675. Freshman Lauren Chavis was second on the team at 9.425 while Scalora had a 9.325. Junior Jamie Hammell scored a 9.175 followed by junior Tianna Lettieri with a 9.075 and Acton with a 8.725.

On the beam, Aichele had a 9.575 followed by Chavis with a 9.550 and Scalora with a 9.475.

Durham had a 9.375 with junior Karina Marks getting a 9.150 and Getty getting a 9.050.

Finally, on the floor, Acton had a team-best 9.650 with Scalora getting a 9.450. Durham had a 9.400 followed by Lettieri with a 9.150 and Marks with a 9.125. Bolash had a 8.950.

Ursinus will head to the ECAC Championships on Saturday, which will be hosted by Springfield College. The event is the qualifier for the NCGA Championships, which will be hosted by Ithaca.
