COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's gymnastics team set two individual records and nearly broke three team records on Saturday as they finished with a total team score of 186.975 on Sunday afternoon in a meet with Temple. The Owls finished with a total team score of 190.675. 

The first individual record broken was on the beam as sophomore Kristin Aichele (Upper Black Eddy, Pa./Palisades) set a new record on beam with a score of 9.850. The old record was 9.800 set by Jessica Furman back on March 13, 2004 in a meet against Rutgers and the University of North Carolina.

Another record was tied as senior Johanna Warren (Shakopee, Minn./Hopkins) has a 9.750 on the bars which also tied a mark held by Furman back on April 3, 2004. 

The Bears nearly set new school marks in the vault and the bars. The team finished with a total team score of 47.250 which just .500 off the mark of 47.750, while nearly beating the bars record. The Bears finished with a  47.125, which was just .200 off the mark of 47.325 set on March 5, 2010.

Junior Monica Durham (Baltimore, Md./Catonsvile) second overall in the all-around competition with a score of 38.125, which was .250 off of the team record in that event at 38.375. 

Ursinus finished with a team score of 46.100 on the beam and 46.500 on the floor.

Aichele's mark of 9.600 on the vault was second overall on the day, with Durham taking third place at 9.575. Sophomore Riley Acton (Acton, Mass./Acton-Boxborough) finished sixth overall with a score of 9.525, followed by freshman Kaitlyne Brandau (Johnstown, Pa./Richland) and Warren each with 9.275. 

Warren would win the bars with her 9.750, while Durham was in second at 9.675. Sophomore Karina Marks (Lexington, Md./Great Mills) was seventh overall at 9.325, followed by senior Erica Schnebel (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) with a 9.200 and Acton with a 9.175.

Aichele's beam record won the event, while Durham finished second on the team at 9.600. Junior Megan Bolash (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) had a 9.025, with sophomore Jamie Hammell (West Milford, N.J./West Milford) netting an 8.825 and senior Stephanie Schmidt (Bloomingdale, N.J./Butler) with an 8.800. 

Schmidt was second overall on the floor at 9.650, with freshman Kristina Steffenhagen (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown Area) in fifth place at 9.325. Durham took sixth overall at 9.275, with Marks in eighth at 9.225.
