Gymnastics sets season high score at Temple Invitational

PHILADELPHIA – The Ursinus College women's gymnastics team set a season-high team score at the Ken Anderson Memorial Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Temple University as they finished with a score of 183.075. 

Ursinus scored a 47.350 on the vault, a 45.575 on the beam, a 45.325 on the floor and 44.825 on the bars.

On the vault, sophomore Kristin Aichele (Upper Back Eddy, Pa./Palisades) scored a team-high 9.750, with junior Monica Durham (Baltimore, Md./Catonsville) scoring a 9.550. Sophomore Riley Acton (Acton, Mass./Acton-Boxborough) scored a 9.475 and senior Stephanie Schmidt (Bloomingdale, N.J./Butler) had a 9.300. Senior Johanna Warren (Shakopee, Minn./Hopkins) scored a 9.275. 

On the bars, Warren led the way with a score of 9.550, with senior Erica Schnebel (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) in second at 9.200. Durham posted a 8.975, Acton had a 8.950 and sophomore Jamie Hammell (West Milford, N.J./West Milford) had a 8.150.

On the beam, Durham had a 9.500, followed by Aichele with a 9.450. Schmidt posted a 9.275, sophomore Karina Marks (Lexington, Md./Great Mills) had a 8.700 and junior Megan Bolash (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) had a 8.650. 

On the floor exercise, Schmidt posted a team-high 9.675 followed by Marks with a 9.325. Durham posted a 9.125 with Action getting a 8.700. Sophomore Dana Feigenbaum (West Hartford, Conn./Conard) had a 8.500.

Durham finished with a 37.150 in the All-Around competition, taking fourth overall.
