Women's Cross Country Receives All-Academic Team Honor

NEW ORLEANS – The Ursinus College women's cross country team earned All-Academic honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), the organization announced recently.

 

The Bears were one of 163 programs across Division III to earn the honor, given to teams with a cumulative GPA of 3.1 through the most recent grading period. As a team, the Bears finished with a team GPA of 3.50. Juniors Holly Chambers and Rachel Conhoff were also one of 203 women to earn All-Academic Athlete status. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet. Conhoff finished sixth and Chambers placed in 28th at the Metro Regional Championships.

 

Brooke Adams, Chambers, Conhoff, Samantha Grubb, Ericka Locke, Jenna Lozzi, Katherine Moore, and Julia Pierson were all named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for the fall semester. Four team members achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA for the fall, while Adams (Biology) and freshman Meghan Carroll (Psychology) own a perfect cumulative GPA.
