Conhoff Qualifies for NCAA's, Women's XC finishes Eighth at Regionals

GLASSBORO, N.J. – Junior Rachel Conhoff led a historic finish for Ursinus Women's Cross Country at the NCAA Metro Regional Championships on Saturday afternoon.

 

Conhoff became the first Bears women's runner to qualify to the NCAA Championship Meet since Christa Johnson did so in 2008. Conhoff finished sixth overall on Saturday with a time of 22:30.6 which was a personal record as well. As a team, the Bears finished eighth to record the highest team finish at regionals in program history. The previous team highest finish was 12th in 2008.

 

Joining Conhoff on the All-Region team was junior Holly Chambers, who finished 28th overall with a personal best time of 23:44.5.

 

Sophomore Brooke Adams finished third among the Bears runners and 53rd overall with a personal best time of 24:20.7. Freshman Ryann Wauthier followed Adams in 61st overall after posting a time of 24:38.2 and sophomore Samantha Grubb placed 68th overall with a personal best time of 24:57.8. Junior Jenna Lozzi also posted a personal best time on the afternoon with a mark of 25:21.6 while finishing 85th overall, and sophomore Maggie Stalter rounded out the Ursinus runners with a time of 26:19.3.

 

Conhoff will race next Saturday, November 20th at the 2021 NCAA Division III Championships at Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, Kentucky with a 12 p.m. start.
