Women's XC Nearly Perfect

ABINGTON TWP., Pa. - The Ursinus College women's cross country team was all but perfect on Saturday.

The Bears swept the top four places and landed only two places away from a perfect score in cruising to the team title at the Penn State Abington Invitational at Lorimer Park. 

Rachel Conhoff led the way for Ursinus, finishing nearly 27 seconds ahead of runner-up Lauren Ferguson with a time of 22:01.4. Ferguson (22:28.6) was right in front of Brooke Adams (22:35.6), and Ryann Wauthier took fourth at 22:49.2. Samantha Grubb finished in seventh place with a mark of 23:28.4, giving the Bears a tally of 17 total places.

Amanda Choi (24:52.4) and Maggie Statler (25:09.8) wound up in 12th and 13th, respectively.

The Bears are back with the Paul Short Run at Lehigh on Friday.
