COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Junior Jenna Kelly put forth the best race of her career to headline the Ursinus College women's cross country team's morning at the Centennial Conference championship. Kelly led the pack for the first time for the Bears, who placed ninth overall in the meet hosted by Haverford.

Johns Hopkins captured its ninth consecutive team crown in dominating fashion, with the Blue Jays accounting for four of the top five individuals. Felicia Koerner won the meet with a mark of 20:56.4, while Tess Meehan, Natalia LaSpada, and Rebecca Grusby placed third through fifth, respectively.

Dickinson was the team runner-up, followed by the host Fords, Swarthmore, Gettysburg, Muhlenberg, Bryn Mawr, Franklin & Marshall, Ursinus, and McDaniel.

Kelly's time of 24:26.3 bettered her previous personal record by over 10 seconds.

Sophomores Brittany Gasser (24:51.5) and Riley Engel (24:52.4) ran strong races in the Bears' second and third spots, and junior Lily Talerman clocked a 25:08.6 to notch a personal best by more than 75 seconds.

Senior Samantha Innes posted a 26:06.7 to continue her weekly improvement and round out the Ursinus top five. Freshman Alyson Manley (26:23.6) and senior Alicia Baker (26:45.9) also competed for the Bears.

The women's cross country team's season continues on Saturday, November 12 with the NCAA Mideast Regional at DeSales.
