Cronin-Bauer Named XC/TF Assistant Coach

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Ursinus cross country and track and field head coach Carl Blickle has announced the addition of Jennifer Cronin-Bauer as a volunteer assistant coach for both programs. Cronin-Bauer, a former standout at Lebanon Valley College, will work with the women's mid-distance and distance student-athletes, alongside Blickle and associate head coach Crystal Burnick.

"We are very excited about the addition of Jenn to our coaching staff," Blickle said. "Jenn brings a wealth of knowledge and success at the Division III level that will have an immediate positive impact on our current student-athletes."

Cronin-Bauer is no stranger to Ursinus, having spent much of the past winter and spring training the men's distance corps. A three-time NCAA qualifier – twice in cross country, once in track and field - during her collegiate career, Cronin-Bauer ranks second in Lebanon Valley history with a time of 21:39.20 at the NCAA Mideast Regional in 2009. On the track, she holds outdoor school records in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and the 5,000-meter run in addition to an indoor mark in the distance medley relay. Indoors, she stands second all-time in the mile run, the 3,000 meters, and the 5,000 meters; outdoors, she is second in the 1,500 meters and fourth in the 3,000 meters.

Cronin-Bauer boasts personal bests ranging from 4:36 in the 1,500 meters to 17:12 in the 5,000 meters, and from 1:21.02 in the half-marathon to 3:01.02 in the full marathon. Cronin-Bauer is a Boston Marathon qualifier and won the Lehigh Valley Half Marathon in 2013.

A 2011 graduate of Lebanon Valley, Cronin-Bauer currently works as a Spanish teacher at Oley Valley High School. She resides in North Wales with her husband, Chris.
