The Ursinus College women's cross country team competed at the Gettysburg Invitational on Saturday, finishing 13th.
The Meet
280 total runners and 26 teams competed. Mostly d3, but also D1 and D2 schools. Conditions were cool and windy. Alexandra Lucki of University of Maryland won the 6k in a time of 21:50. Maryland U captured the overall team title.
The Bears
Riley Engel was our top runner finishing 32nd overall in a personal best time of 24:02. Riley dropped over 45 seconds off her time from her previous best. Mid Distance specialist Brittany Gasser was our team's second finisher in 24:32. It was the first time Brittany raced the 6k distance. Gabby Manto (25:43), Alicia Baker (25:55), and Morgan Cope (26:29) rounded out our top five. All three of the ladies ran personal best times.Lily Talerman (27:24) and Amanda Sierzega (27:33) were our 6-7 runners. Amanda's time was a personal best.

Coaches Corner
Our ladies ran very well! Of the 9 who raced, 7 had personal bests. I am excited to see what they can do at conferences and regionals, especially when we add in some of the women who did not race today.
