Volleyball Swept by Dickinson

CARLISLE, Pa. –  The Ursinus College volleyball team (6-12, 0-4) lost in three sets on Saturday at Dickson. After dropping the first two sets, 25-12, 25-18, the Bears were close to forcing a fourth set, but fell 25-23.

The Red Devils took control early, winning the first set 25-12. The Bears came back to play a tighter second set, but the Red Devils pulled away to take the second, 25-18. Ursinus got stronger as the match went on, and almost forced a fourth set, however, they came up just short, losing the third and final set, 25-23.

Kelly Piotrowicz recorded her sixth double-double of the season as she led the Bears with 12 assists to go with a team-high 11 digs. The senior also led the team with seven kills.  

Rachael Girard added six kills on the afternoon. It's the third straight match that Girard has fired at least six kills.
