Karla is a sophomore from Lakeland, Fla. and she attended George Jenkins Senior High where she won the 2011 All-County Volleyball Player of the Year award. She is Biology major with a minor in Psychology. She is the daugther of Johnathan and Sandra Thiele and has one younger sister, Amanda. In addition to volleyball, Karla also participates with UCARE, Ursinus' Community Service program.
