COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus Track & Field program will send a thrower and a relay team to compete in the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships next week at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.

Junior Isabelle Deal and the men's 4x400 relay team of senior Tyler Reilly, sophomore Devon Greaves, junior Payton Stanziani, and junior Daniel Tabor will represent the Bears in the national meet that will get underway on Thursday.

Deal will be making her second-straight appearance in the javelin during the NCAA Outdoor Championships after finishing eighth overall with her throw of 135-1 ft. She topped her 16th seed entering the meet to become the 4th Ursinus Women's Track & Field athlete to earn All-American status. She enters this championship seeded fourth after recording a school record mark of 44.15 meters back on April 15th at the Larry Ellis Invitational Meet. She battled through injury to earn a bronze medal at the Centennial Championships earlier this month.

The 4x400 squad became the first relay team in the history of Ursinus Men's Track & Field to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championship meet after recording a scorching time of 3:13.62 last Wednesday at the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Championship (AARTFC) meet at Moravian University. The time won the race and set a new school record in the process. Reilly, Greaves, Stanziani, and Tabor enter the meet seeded 15th overall. The team took home the gold medal at the Centennial Championships to put a bow on the Men's Track & Field team conference title.

The women's javelin championship gets underway Thursday at 5 p.m., while the men's 4x400 prelims is slated for Friday at 8:15 p.m.
