Conhoff Finishes Ninth in Mile at NCAA DIII Indoor Championships

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Ursinus Women's Track & Field junior Rachel Conhoff represented the Bears at the 2022 NCAA Division III National Championship on Saturday, competing in the mile at JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

 

Conhoff finished in 9th place for the Bears, improving from her original seeding of 14th.

 

Conhoff opened the weekend with a school record time of 5:00.42 in the prelims of the mile on Friday and advanced to the finals after placing in the top 10 between the two heats.

 

Conhoff posted a time of 5:01.15 in the finals on Saturday to earn her ninth place finish.

 

She was the first Ursinus Women's Track & Field athlete to qualify for the indoor championships since Christa Johnson raced in the 5000-meter run at the 2009.

 

The 2022 Indoor Track and Field Championship marks the end of the indoor season. Conhoff will compete for Ursinus during the outdoor season, which starts on April 1st at the Danny Curran Invitational.
