Conhoff, Distance Medley Relay Team Earn All-Metro Region Nod

NEW ORLEANS – The Ursinus College women's track and field team had a program record five All-Metro Region selections for the 2021-22 indoor season, announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Tuesday.

Junior Rachel Conhoff earned All-Region honors for the mile and as a member of the Distance Medley Relay team alongside first-years Brooke Adams and Meghan Carroll plus sophomore Holly Chambers.

To be named all-region, an athlete must finish either in the top five of an individual event or be part of a top-three relay team.

Conhoff heads the Metro region rankings for the Mile by more than five seconds after posting a personal-best time of 5:00.98 at the Centennial Indoor Championships. She became the first Ursinus Women's Track & Field student-athlete to qualify for the NCAA Division III Championship meet since 2009 when the performance lists were announced on Sunday night. Conhoff finished fourth in a loaded field for the mile at Centennial Championships and earned a runner-up finish at the AARTFC Championship last Saturday with a time of 5:05.09.

Adams, Carroll, Chambers, and Conhoff rank second in the Metro Region for the Distance Medley Relay behind a school-record time of 12:30.94 that was previously set in 2018.  The group finished fourth in the event at Centennial Championships.

These are the first indoor all-region selections for the Bears since Krista Snyder earned All-Region for the Pentathlon back in 2015-16.
