Women's Track & Field Finishes Strong at Keogh Invitational

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Ursinus Women's Track & Field team made final preparations for Centennial Indoor Championships as they participated at the Keogh Invitational hosted by Haverford College on Saturday.

 

Sophomore Jacqueline Allen headlined the Bears in the event with a throw of 37-8.5 ft. in the shot put to finish second in the event. It was a season-best and an indoor-best for Allen as she led eight Bears in shot put. Junior Isabelle Deal followed in third place on a mark of 37-3.75 ft. and classmate Hannah Bierling posted a fourth-place finish with a throw of 35-3.75 ft. Senior Zenya Yanoff matched her career-best with a 34-8.5 ft. and rounded out the top-five.

 

Senior Chelsea Stitt and junior Julia Pierson both matched their career-bests in the pole vault with a mark of 8-0.5 ft and tied for third overall. On the track, junior Jenna Lozzi recorded a career-best time of 2:34.71 and met the Centennial qualifying standards while finishing seventh overall.

 

 Ursinus return to action on Saturday, February 26th as they will host and compete in the 2022 Centennial Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Floy Lewis Bakes Center with a 10:30 a.m. start.
