Conhoff, Deal Headline Women's Track & Field on Day Two at VMI

LEXINGTON, Va. – The Ursinus Indoor Women's Track & Field team concluded its two-day competition at the VMI Winter Classic on Saturday.

 

Junior Rachel Conhoff set a career-best time of 5:10.01 in the mile and finished fourth overall in the race and first among Division III runners. Conhoff's time is currently the third-fastest time for the mile in the Centennial Conference.

 

Junior Holly Chambers and sophomore Brooke Adams both posted career-bests in the 800-meter run with times of 2:27.64 and 2:28.40, respectively. Senior Kate Hunt recorded a season-best time of 27.67 in the 200-meter dash to round out the track events for the Bears.

 

In the shot put, junior Isabelle Deal led five Bears with a season-best throw of 41-3.25 ft. Deal finished first among Division III competitors and 10th overall. Sophomore Jacqueline Allen placed second to Deal for Division III throwers in the event with a mark of 37-1 ft. and junior Hannah Bierling followed with a throw of 36-3.5 ft. Senior Zenya Yanoff set a new career-best mark with a throw of 34-8.5 ft.  

 

Ursinus returns to action on Saturday, February 19th at the Keogh Invitational hosted by Haverford at 10:30 a.m.
