Women's Track & Field Sees Numerous Personal Bests Set at DIII Invitational

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Ursinus women's track & field team kicked off its back-to-back day of events this weekend as they competed at the Division III Invitational at the Armory on Friday night.  

 

Junior Rachel Conhoff had the highest finish of any Bear on the evening as she finished fourth overall in the mile with a time of 5:16.47. Classmate Holly Chambers followed in ninth with a personal-best time of 5:23.92

 

First-year Tehya Harvey competed in a pair of races during the invitational and finished top-10 in each event. Harvey finished eighth in the 60-meter dash with a personal-best time of 8.24 and placed 10th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.84, also a personal best. Senior Kate Hunt finished just ahead of Harvey in the 200-meter dash in eighth with at time of 27.49.

 

The 4x400 relay team of first-year Meghan Carroll, Chambers, Conhoff, and Hunt placed fifth with a season-best time of 4:20.35.

 

Ursinus returns to action tomorrow, February 5th as they will host the Frank Colden Invitational starting at 9 a.m.
