Women's Track & Field Competes at Mini-Dip Invitational

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Ursinus Women's Track & Field Team continued its indoor season at the Little Dip Invitational hosted by Franklin & Marshall on Friday night.

 

Junior Rachel Conhoff highlighted the meet for the Bears as she finished 1st in the 800-meter run with a personal best time of 2:24.09. Conhoff's time in the event is the third-fastest time in the Centennial Conference this season thus far. Junior Holly Chambers and sophomore Brooke Adams earned top-10 finishes in the 800 with Chambers placing sixth on a time of 2:29.23 and Adams followed in seventh at 2:29.79.

 

In sprints, freshman Tehya placed 5th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.99 and Julia Pierson also earned a 5th place finish in the 500-meter dash at 1:29.45. Senior Kate Hunt led the Bears in the 300 meters with a 7th place finish on a time of 45.47.

 

Junior Isabelle Deal posted a 5th place finish in the shot put with a throw of 37-1 feet and was followed by classmate Hannah Bierling in 7th at 36-8.50 ft. Senior Zenya Yanoff recorded a 6th place finish to lead the Bears in the weight throw on a mark of 41-7.75.

 

Sophomore Esther Akande paced the Bears in the jumps with a 5th place finish in the triple jump after posting a season-best mark of 33-1.25 ft.

 

Ursinus returns to action in the Division III Invitational at the Armory in New York City on Friday, February 4th.
