Women's Track & Field Racks up PRs

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Several Ursinus College women's track and field members established new personal bests and made their event-specific debuts at the Gettysburg Invitational on Saturday.

Isabelle Deal provided the lone individual win for the Bears, taking top position in the shot put with a mark of 39-5. Jacqueline Allen was third with a 34-5, and Hannah Bierling sixth at 33-9.5.

The steeplechase was a fruitful event for Ursinus, with Jenna Lozzi (13:04.83) and Samantha Grubb (13:32.30) each slicing more than 20 seconds off their former personal bests.

Holly Chambers secured a PR of almost seven seconds in the 1500 meters, placing fourth with a time of 4:57.85 that lands her just outside the top-15 in the Centennial Conference.

Molly McCarthy made her debut in both the 200 (29.43) and triple jump (28-10.25), as did Samantha Levai in the 400-meter hurdles (1:22.33). McCarthy also seized a new PR in the long jump (14-7.25), just behind Katy Jenkins (14-7.75).
