Buczek Takes Last Crack at NCAA's

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Ursinus College women's track and field standout Catherine Buczek was in action at North Central College on Thursday night, taking one last crack at lowering her top mark in the 400-meter hurdles into NCAA qualification range. The senior logged a 1:03.95, falling about a second shy of her personal best.

Buczek's time was good for seventh place in a loaded field of 13 at the annual Gregory Invitational. It was behind her career-best 1:02.97 from her gold-medal run at the Centennial Conference outdoor championship, which currently is tied for 35th in Division III.

Buczek will declare for NCAA championship participation, but will likely need a large number of scratches to make the field.
