Women's T&F Wraps Up At Widener

CHESTER, Pa. – Senior Catherine Buczek's Centennial Conference-leading 400-meter hurdles time headlined a strong second and final day of the Widener Invitational for the Ursinus College women's track and field team.

Buczek finished fifth in the hurdles with a 1:05.84, the best time in the Centennial Conference this season. Sophomore Catherine Curran was just off a season standard at 1:10.76.

Freshman Gianna Speranza joined the conference's top-10 in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.19 seconds, a new personal best. Freshman Kateryna Swan also logged a PR at 13.67 seconds, as did fellow rookies Molly Rodeabaugh (14.11) and Bella Almonte (15.28).

Freshman Rachel Coleman, senior Katherine Damato, senior Jenna Kelly, and Buczek took fourth in the 4x400-meter relay with a season-best 4:11.52, good for fourth in the CC.

Speranza teamed with Buczek, sophomore Kira Miller, and Coleman to finish eighth in the 4x100-meter relay (52.01).

Junior Morgan Cope notched a new PR in the pole vault, a 3.11-meter mark that stands fifth in the conference.

Coleman just missed a collegiate best with a 28.01 in the 200-meter dash. Sophomore Auresa Cunningham achieved a season best (29.22) in the event.

Swan also recorded a personal best in the long jump (4.62 meters).

Junior Audrey Simpson's (2:29.56) and senior Lily Talerman (2:30.72) each recorded personal bests in the 800.

Kelly finished the 400 in 1:02.96, less than half a second off her top time of the season.
