Snyder Selected CC Women's Field Athlete of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. – After shattering her own school record with a historic performance in the heptathlon at the 122nd Penn Relays, senior Krista Snyder has been selected as the Centennial Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.

Snyder placed 6th overall in a field full of Division I athletes with a total score of 4210, which ranks 18th in Division III. Snyder established new personal records in the 100-meter hurdles (16.71), the 200-meter dash (26.69), and the 800-meter run (2:29.83) in addition to season bests in the javelin (33-10) and high jump (4-9.50). Her long jump leap of 16-11.25 was just shy of a season best.

Snyder, the recipient of the Olive Sargeant Hamm Award at Sunday's Athletic Awards Ceremony, will look to add to her extensive list of accomplishments when the CC outdoor track and field championships get underway Friday at Dickinson College.
