ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Competing along with 15 teams, the Ursinus College women's track and field team batted cold and windy conditions at the non-scoring Muhlenberg Invitational on Saturday.
Starting with the track events, sophomore Erin Farrell (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) was eighth in the 100 at 13.2, while sophomore Chloe Johnson-Hyde (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) was ninth with a time of 13.3.
In the 200, with a significant head wind, Farrell was fourth with a time of 26.9 while junior Kristen Prijs (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township) was ninth at 27.5.
In the 400, senior Emily Lamb (Parkesburg, Pa./Westtown), senior Nicole LaRatta (Glendora, N.J./Bishop Eustace) and Margaret Leitz all achieved the conference standard. Lamb was sixth overall with a time of 1:04.
In the 5k, senior Chelsea Nemeth (Coplay, Pa./Parkland) ran a season best time of 20:34, while sophomore Alicia Baker (York, Pa./York Suburban) was a personal best at 21:09.
In the 400 hurdles, freshman Catherine Buczek (Wind Gap, Pa./Nazareth Area) was third with a personal best time of 1:09.
In the steeplechase, senior Emilia Perry (Osaka, Japan) was second with a time of 12:00.
In the 4x1, the team of Johnson-Hyde, Buczek, Prijs and Farrell was second with a time of 50.7, while the team of Lamb, Prijs, junior Krista Snyder (West Sunbury, Pa./Moniteau) and Buczek won the 4x4.
In the field events, junior Kimberly Snow (Riverside, N.J./Riverside) finished third in the high jump with a height of 4-10. Snyder finished fourth in the javelin at 105-8.
