Women's Track and Field fifth at Centennials

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's track and field team finished fifth at the Centennial Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships on Sunday with a total team score of 69 points. The fifth place finish was two spots higher than last season.

The Bears crowned several top finishers and All-Conference performers, headlined by sophomore Erin Farrell (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) winning the 200 dash with a time of 26.73. She was also fourth in the 60 dash with a time of 8.22

Ursinus also won the 4x200 relay with a time of 1:47.74 with the winning team being made up of Chloe Johnson-Hyde, Catherine Buczek, Kristen Prijs and Erin Farrell, while the Bears took second in the 4x400 relay with a mark of 4:11.17.

Junior Krista Snyder (West Sunbury, Pa./Moniteau) was third in the pentathlon with a total team score of 2631. She was second in the long jump with a distance of 16-02.50, second in the 800 at 2:36.24, fourth in the 60 hurdles (10.83) and the high jump (4-6) and went sixth in the shot put at 27-06.75.

Junior Kristen Prijs (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township) was second in the 400 at 1:01.17, while sophomore Chloe Johnson-Hyde (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) took fifth in the both the 60 dash (8.23) and the 200 (27.29)

Senior Emily Lamb (Parkesburg, Pa./Westtown) was sixth in the mile at 5:09.82 and seventh in the 800 at 2:23.88.

In the field events, junior Elizabeth Cooley (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) was fifth in the pole vault at 9-00.25, while junior Kimberly Snow (Riverside, N.J./Riverside) was fourth in the high jump at 4-11.
