Women's Track and Field first at Grizzly Invite

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's track and field team finished with a  total score of 277 points at the Grizzly Invitational on Saturday at Patterson Field.

Ursinus captured the top three spots in almost every event on the day. Starting with the track events, Chloe Johnson-Hyde was second in the 100 dash at 13.48, while Erin Farrell was third at 13.68.

In the 200, Amber Steigerwalt was second at 27.49. In the 400, Kristin Prijs was second at 1:02.30.

Nicole LaRatta was first in the 800 at 2:37.55, with Kimberly Nolan winning the 1500 at 5:27.98. Kelly Cinalli was second in the 1500 at 5:31.11, while Samantha Innes was third at 5:40.34.

In the 5k, Chelsie Nemeth was first at 20:21.96, while Grace Barter was second at 20:34.59 and Danielle Grimes was third at 21:59.57.

Ursinus also won the 4x1 at 52.30 and the 4x4 at 4:21.50.

Turning to the field events, Kimberly Snow was first in the high jump at 4-11, with Elana Roadcloud second at 4-7.

In the pole vault, Elizabeth Cooley was first at 8-6 while Angier Cooper was second at 6-11.75.

In the triple jump, Snow was first with a  jump of 33-02.

Amanda Birnbrauer won both the shot put at 40-1.25 and the javelin throw at 95-11. Katie Wililams was second in the shot put at 32-07.75 and Laura Drebrushenko was third at 31-04.75.

In the discus, Drebrushenko was second at 93-11, while Erin Specht was third at 87-7. In the javelin, Snow was second at 94-08.
