Women's Track and Field seventh at Centennial Conference Championships

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's track and field team finished with a team score of 54.33 points during the two-day 2014 Centennial Conference Indoor Track and Field Championship hosted by Haverford College, finishing in seventh place.

The Bears saw senior Victoria Goodenough captured the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.080, just a hair in front of the second place finisher from Gettysburg, Katherine Cavanaugh from Gettysburg. Goodenough would later team up with freshman Erin Farrell, freshman Chloe Johnson-Hyde and freshman Amber Steigerwalt to win the 4x2 relay with a time of 1:48.42.

Sophomore Elizabeth Cooley was second in the pole vault, clearing a height of ten feet.

Junior Emily Lamb was third in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:22.24.

Senior Amanda Birnbrauer was fifth in the shot put at 40-02.25 feet.

Johnson-Hyde was sixth in the 200 meter at 27.59, while sophomore Kristen Prijs was fourth in the 400 meter at 1:02.35. The team of Goodenough, Lamb, Farrell and Prijs was sixth in the 4x4 relay at 4:20.18.

Farrell would later claim a seventh place finish in the 200 meter at 27.60, with sophomore Krista Snyder seventh in the triple jump at 33-05.25 feet.

In the high jump, sophomore Kimberly Snow was eighth at 4-07.75 while Snyder was eighth in the pentathlon with 2040 points.

Johns Hopkins won the team championship with a total team score of 243.33 points, while Swarthmore was second at 81.5.
