Women's Track and Field second at Collegeville Classic

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's track and field finished second at the Collegeville Classic on Friday night with a point total of 84 points.

Senior Emily Lamb won the one mile run with a time of 5:24:81, while senior Victoria Goodenough was second in the 60 hurdles with a time of 9.27.

The Bears posted two second-place finishes in the relays, as the team of Goodenough, Erin Farrell, Amber Stiegerwalt and Chloe Johnson-Hyde finished the 4x2 at 1:51.52, while Lamb, Grace Barter, Samantha Close and Kristen Prijs finished with a time of 10:51.57 in the 4x8.

Lamb finished fifth in the 800 at 2:30.67, while Close was seventh in the one mile run at 5:47.89. Prijs was eighth in the 400 at 1:04.84.

In the field events, Kimberly Snow was second in the high jump at 4-09.75.

The long jump saw Krista Snyder third with a 15-04.75 while Veronica Sanford sixth at 14-10. In the triple jump, Snyder was second at 32-02, while Sanford was third at 32-00.75.

In the pole vault, Elizabeth Cooley was fifth at 9-06.25.

Finally, Amanda Birnbrauer was second in the shot put at 38-9.50.
