Women's Track and Field second at Ursinus College Invitational

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – While the weather was more suited for indoor track and field than outdoor on Saturday, Ursinus got its outdoor season started with great performances at the Ursinus College Invitational. The women finished second with 163 points.

Amanda Laurito was third in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.91, while Jennifer Jones was seventh at 14.54.

In the 200 meter dash, Caitlin Callahan was sixth at 30.38, while Jones was eighth at 30.93.

Carina Doyle won the 400 meter dash at 1:00.95.

Ursinus scored a lot of points in the 800 meter run as Brianna Kramer was second at 2:29.67, Jordan Kellogg was fifth at 2:40.07 and Katie Martin was sixth at 2:41.24.

In the 1500 meter run, Elizabeth Reynolds was fourth at 5:29.50.

Sarah Huang won the 5k with a time of 19:04.20, with Emilia Perry in second at 19:30.41.Chelsie Nemeth was fourth at 21:01.01, followed by Grace Barter in fifth at 21:07.76.

Victoria Goodenough won the 100 meter hurdles at 15.40, with Callahan in third at 18.86 and Kimberly Snow fifth at 22.44.

Ursinus took fourth in the 4x1 meter relay as Morgan Pepe, Jones, Delicia Wharton and Callahan was fourth at 56.13.

In the final track event, Doyle, Kramer, Goodenough and Kristen Prijs were first in the 4x4 relay.

In the field events, Snow was third in the high jump at 4-6 while Cooley was sixth in the pole vault at 8-6.25.

In the jumps, Pepe was fourth in the long jump at 15-06.25 with Krista Snyder fifth at 15-02.75.

In the shot put, Amanda Birnbrauer was second at 32-09.75, followed by Katie Williams in third at 32 feet event. In the discus, Birnbrauer was fifth at 102-07 feet.

Finally, the javelin saw Natalie Massari in second at 102 feet, Ticora Adams in fourth at 95-11, Snyder fifth at 80-06 and Birnbrauer sixth at 74-06. Cooley was eighth at 51-10.
