Women's Track and Field fourth at Colden Invitational

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's track and field team took fourth at the Frank Colden Invitational on Saturday as the host school picked up 68.5 points.

Headlining the Bears was a first place finish in the 4x4 meter relay as the team of sophomore Emily Lamb (Parkesburg, Pa./Westtown School), senior Brianna Kramer (Drums, PA./Freeland MMI), freshman Krista Snyder (West Sunbury, Pa./Moniteau) and senior Carina Doyle (Holliston, Mass./Holliston) won the event at 4:15.99.

Senior Morgan Pepe (Old Bridge, N.J./Bishop Ahr) had a second place finish in the triple jump as she hit a mark of 33-01. Junior Victoria Goodenough (Oxford, England/McDonogh School) was second in the 60 hurdles at 9.0 seconds flat.

Also earning second place finishes were Kramer in the 800 at 2:29.11 and Doyle in the 400 at 1:01.28. Lamb finished third in the one mile run at 5:27.66, with sophomore Emilia Perry (Osaka, Japan/Sijyonawate) eighth in the event at 5:37.20.

In the field events, freshman Elizabeth Cooley (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) was fourth in the pole vault at 9-00.25 feet, while junior Amanda Birnbrauer (Morrisville, Pa./Conwell-Egan) was fifth in the shot put at 34-08.50.

Senior Celina Sooksatan (Nutley, N.J./Nutley) was fifth in the high jump at 4-11.75 and sixth in the long jump at 15-04.75.
