Women's ITF wins Bow-Tie Classic

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's indoor track and field team started their 2012-13 season with a first place finish in the Bow-Tie Classic with a total score of 124.5 points.

Senior Amanda Laurito finished first in the 55 dash with a time of 7.89, while taking a second place finish in the 200 dash at 26.42.

Sophomore Emilia Perry won the 5k with a time of 20:12.86, while junior Victoria Goodenough won the 60 hurdles at 9.14.

Senior Carina Doyle was fourth in the 400 dash at 1:02.21.

Sopohomore Emily Lamb was fourth in the 800 run at 2:27.25.

In the one mile run, junior Sarah Huang was fourth at 5:51.25, with sophomore Chelsie Nemeth seventh at 6:03.98 and senior Gina Brienza eighth at 6:05.56.

In the 5k, sophomore Emily Duffy was third at 21:41.77, followed by freshman Danielle Grimes in fouth at 21:44.33, freshman Grace Barter in fifth at 21:54.26 and senior Sage Hubert at 22:09.09 in sixth place.

In the field events, senior Celina Sooksatan was third in the high jump at 5-01.75, with junior Amy Galvin in sixth at 5-01.75 and freshman Kimberly Snow in seventh at 4-09.75.

In the pole vault, freshman Elizabeth Cooley was third at 8-00.50.

Sooksatan was seventh in the long jump at 15-00.50.

Senior Olivia Hovick was fourth in the triple jump at 30-02.25.

Junior Amanda Birnbrauer was fifth in the shot put at 35-11.50.
