Women's Track and Field win Goucher Invite

BALTIMORE, Md. – The Ursinus College women's track and field team finished atop the team standings on Saturday afternoon at the Goucher Invitational with a total team score of 224.50, nearly 85 points more than second place Salisbury.

The Bears took several top spots in all aspects of the meet en route to the win.

In the 100 dash, sophomore Amanda Laurito finished with the top spot with a time of 12.72, with senior Lauren Lammers in third at 13.28. Laurito followed that up with a second place finish in the 200 meter dash at 26.35, followed by sophomore Kirsten King in fourth at 27.03 and Lammers in eighth at 28.31.

King won the 400 dash at 58.40, with sophomore Carina Doyle in third at 1:00.91 and junior Lauren Goldstein in seventh at 1:05.02.

In the 800 meter run, senior Ali Nolan was second at 2:32.14, with senior Deb Yanessa in fourth at 2:35.58, Goldstein in fifth at 2:36.20, sophomore Jordan Kellogg in sixth at 2:38.48 and junior Stephanie Donatone in eighth at 2:39.94.

Nolan would win the 1500 meter run at 4:56.61, with Donatone finishing fifth at 5:14.68. Nolan also won the 5k at 19:05.10, with junior Michelle Tetla finishing seventh at 20:56.31 and sophomore Sage Hubert in eighth at 22:52.01.

In the hurdles, freshman Victoria Goodenough was first in the 100 at 15.62 and second in the 400 at 1:09.80. In the 100, senior Michelle Franko was fourth at 18.59, followed by sophomore Caitlin Callahan in sixth at 18.68. In the 400, sophomore Carina Doyle was third at 1:10.17, freshman Anna Lopresti was sixth at 1:15.54 and Callahan was seventh at 1:16.34.

In the steeplechase, Kellogg was second at 13:16.37, with junior Sabrina Cimerol in fourth at 14:43.96.

In the relays, the team of Goodenought, Laurito, King, Lammers was first in the 4x1 at 52.35.

In the high jump, sophomore Celina Sooksatan was third at 1.52 meters, followed by freshman Annie Hudson in fourth at 1.47 meters, with freshman Amy Galvin in sixth at 1.47 meters and Lopresti in seventh at 1.42 meters.

In the pole vault, junior Amy Schaefer was first with a height of 2.89 meters. Junior Lauren Surman was third at 2.74 meters, with freshman Elisa Tyler in fifth at 2.29 meters.

Sophomore Leah Shaw was fourth in the triple jump at  9.54 meters, with Sooksatan in eighth in the long jump at 4.39 meters.

Freshman Amanda Birnbrauer was fourth in the discus throw at 28.77 meters and eighth in the shot put at 10.43 meters. Freshman Katie Williams was eighth at 27.24 in the discus throw.

In the javelin throw, sophomore Bianca Bartoli was second at 32.80 meters, followed by sophomore Ticora Adams at 32.37 (third). Junior Ryann Burke was sixth at 29.06 meters with Schaefer in seventh at 28.76 meters.
