Women's Track and Field shine at McElligot Invitational

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Ursinus College track and field teams participated at the non-scoring Seamus McElligot Invitational on Saturday afternoon  hosted by Haverford College.

Freshman Victoria Goodenough (Oxford, England/McDonough School) took second in the 55 hurdles with a time of 8.68, with sophomore Amanda Laurito (Philadephia, Pa./PA Home Schoolers) finishing second in the 55 dash at 7.49. Laurito would finish third in the 200 dash at 27.32, followed by junior Kristen King (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield Memorial) in fourth at 27.42. King secured a fourth-place finish in the 400 dash with a mark of 1:02.41.

In the 3k, senior Alison Nolan (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) was fifth at 10:45.55.

In the field events, sophomore Celina Sooksatan (Nutley, N.J./Nutley) was seventh at 15 feet in the long jump, while freshman Annie Hudson (Rochester, N.Y./Emma Willard School) was fourth in the high jump at 5-00.25 feet. Freshman Anna Lopresti (Northfield, N.J./Mainland Regional) was seventh at 4-10.25.

Junior Amy Schaefer (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) was fourth in the pole vault at 9-06.25 feet.

In the shot put, freshman Amanda Birnbrauer (Morrisville, Pa./Conwell-Egan Catholic) was second at 36-03.50 feet, followed by freshman Katie Williams (Burlington, N.J./Burlington Township) in seventh at 34-
