NEWARK, Del. – The Ursinus College women's indoor track and field team finished first in the D2-D3 scoring at the Delaware Invitational on Friday at the University of Delaware with a team score of 225 points.
In the 60 meter dash, Amanda Laurito broke the school record as she finished first with a mark of 8.21. In the 200 meter dash, she finished second with a time of 28.00, with Lauren Lammers finishing third at 28.53 and Victoria Goodenough finishing fourth at 28.55.
Ursinus went 1-4 in the 400 meter dash, as Kirsten King won the event at 1:02.41, followed by Carina Doyle in second at 1:05.16, Caitlin Callahan in third at 1:16.58 and Alison Cragg in fourth at 1:16.61.
In the 800 meter run, Brianna Kramer was first with a time of 2:38.70, with Jordan Kellogg in second at 2:39.44. Kellogg won the one mile run at 6:00.34.
In the 60 meter hurdles, Goodenough took the top spot at 9.51.
Ursinus continued to excel in the field events, as Amy Galvin won the high jump at 5-3, followed by Anna Lopresti in second at 4-7, and Celina Sooksatan in third at 4-7.
In the long jump, Goodenough took first at 14-01.75, with Sooksatan in second at 14-1.
Leah Shaw won the triple jump at 30-8.25, followed by Olivia Hovick in second at 28-02.25.
In the shot put, Katie Williams was second at 33-10, followed by Amanda Birnbrauer in third at 32-09.50.
