Women's Track fifth at Centennial Conference Championships

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The Ursinus College track and field team finished up their run at the 2010 Centennial Conference Championships. The women were fifth with 71 points.

Sophomore Kirsten King (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield Memorial) was second in the 400 dash with a time of 57.55, while sophomore Bianca Bartoli (Brookfield, Conn./Brookfield) was second in the javelin with a throw of 118-09 feet. Also in the javelin event, freshman Natalie Massari (West Deptford, N.J./West Deptford) was third with a throw of 108-03 feet, followed by sophomore Ryann Burke (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield Township) with a mark of 107 feet. Sophomore Amy Schaefer (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) was sixth with a mark of 105-05 feet.

In the 100 dash, freshman Amanda Laurito (Philadelphia, Pa./PA Home Schoolers) was third with a time of 12.96, with junior Lauren Lammers (Haddon Heights, N.J./Bishop Eustace) was eighth with a time of 13.43.

In the 200 dash, King was fourth with a time of 26.15, followed by freshman Carina Doyle (Holliston, Mass./Holliston) was fifth in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:10.45.

Sophomore Lauren Goldstein (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) was fifth in the 800 run with a time of 2:22.23.

In the field events, freshman Leah Shaw (Bordentown, N.J./Bordentown Regional) was sixth in the triple jump at 33-08.50, with freshman Celina Sooksatan (Nutley, N.J./Nutley) finishing sixth in the high jump at 4-08.75 feet.

Freshman Olivia Hovick (Glen Mills, Pa./West Chester Bayard-Rustin) was eighth in the long jump with a leap of 15-7 feet.

Burke was eighth in the shot put with a mark of 32-09 feet.

In the relays, Lammers, King, Doyle and Laurito was third in the 4x1 with a time of 49.89, followed by King, Lammers, Doyle and Goldstein in seventh place at  4:11.65 in the 4x4 relay.
