Women's Track eighth after two days of Centennial Track Championships

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Ursinus continued to have standout performances at the second day of the 2010 Centennial Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Swarthmore College.

The women are eighth after two days of competition

In the lone track finals on the afternoon, sophomore Michele Tetla (Pompton Lakes, N.J./Pompton Lakes) finished eighth with a time of 13:25.99, while the team of junior Deb Yanessa (Haddonfield, N.J./Paul IV), sophomore Lauren Goldstein (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown), freshman Jordan Kellogg (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) and Stephanie Donatone (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) finished seventh with a score of 10:04.83.

In the field events, sophomore Lauren Surman (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown Area) finished seventh in the pole vault at 9-05.25 feet, with freshman Olivia Hovick (Glen Mills, Pa./WC Baynard-Rustin) finishing eighth in the long jump at 15-07 feet.

In the 100 meter prelims, junior Lauren Lammers (Haddon Heights, N.J./Bishop Eustace) finished second at 13.01, while freshman Amanda Laurito (Philadelphia, Pa./PA Home Schoolers) finished sixth at 13.06.

Goldstein and Yanessa finished seventh and eighth in the 800 meter dash prelims at 2:23.56 and 2:25.01, respectively.

Freshman Carina Doyle (Holliston, Mass./Holliston) was sixth in the 400 hurdle prelims at 1:10.40, with sophomore Kristen King (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield) finishing fourth in the 200 meter prelims at 25.93. King was also fourth in the 400 prelims at 58.06.
