Women's Track has stand out performance at West Chester

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Ursinus College track and field teams had a strong showing at the non-scoring West Chester Invitational this weekend.

The Bears saw a new school record set in the 200 meter dash as junior Lauren Lammers set the mark with a 26.69, finishing fourth. The record was originally broken by sophomore Kristen King in a previous heat with a mark of 26.73. She finished in fifth place, while freshman Amanda Laurito was 7th in the 200 dash with a mark of 26.89.

On the track, Lammers took fourth in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.10, followed by Laurito in fifth place at 13.19. King was sixth in the event with a mark of 13.38.

In the 10k, sophomore Michelle Tetla was third with a time of 43:38.64.

Junior Michelle Franco was fifth in the high hurdles with a time of 17.91, followed by freshman Carina Doyle in fifth place with a mark of 1:11.87 in the 400 hurdles.

Sophomore Stephanie Donatone was sixth in the 1500 run with a time of 5:20.05.

In the throws, the Bears took 2-4-5-8 in the javelin, led by sophomore Bianca Bartoli’s toss of 114-01. Freshman Natalie Massari was fourth in the event at 102-7, followed by sophomore Ryann Burke in fifth with a throw of 99 feet. Sophomore Josie Maressa was eighth at 97-06.

Sophomore Lauren Surman was fourth in the pole vault, clearing a height of 8-06.25,while sophomore Jen Wolf was sixth in the triple jump at 32-08.50.
