CARLISLE, Pa. – Caitlyn Sorelle and Ariel Danziger came up with impressive singles victories at Dickinson Saturday, but the Ursinus College women's tennis team fell short in a 7-2 Centennial Conference decision.

The Red Devils swept doubles play and took four of six individual matches to nab their first conference win of the season and snap a three-match winning streak for the Bears (10-4, 2-3).

Sorelle defeated Madison Parks 7-5, 6-1 at number two singles, while Danziger rolled past Olivia Shea 6-2, 6-3 at number four for Ursinus.

Several of the Bears' losses were competitive. Junior Ashley Nguyen took Joana Nunes deep into a tiebreaker at number three singles before dropping the first set 7-6 (7) and the second 6-4, while junior Aileen Bevard lost a 7-5 first set to Lauren Altschuler at first singles.

The women's tennis team heads to Haverford on Wednesday, April 12.
