LANCASTER, Pa. – BreAnna Bashaw of the Ursinus College women's tennis team was named Player of the Week by the Centennial Conference, the league office announced Monday.
The senior captain turned in a thoroughly dominant performance for the Bears (4-1), who won all four of their matches in Florida.
Bashaw was undefeated at both No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles – with sophomore partner Ariel Danziger – during the week, which included matches against Northwestern (Minn.), Wittenberg, King's (Pa.), and Lake Forest. She did not drop a single set in her eight combined matches.
Bashaw and Danziger are a perfect 5-0 in dual matches this season, while Bashaw is 6-1 overall in singles play.
Ursinus opens its home season on Saturday, March 19 with matches against Lebanon Valley and Juniata.
