Women's Tennis defeated by Muhlenberg, 6-3

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's tennis team dropped a hard-fought 6-3 match to Muhlenberg on Wednesday afternoon in Centennial Conference play. 

Ursinus started the day by winning two of three doubles matches to take an early 2-1 lead. The team of BreAnna Bashaw and Stephanie-Jane Seabra won at number two flight over Jennifer Goldberg and Sharen Resnikoff, 8-2. At number three flight doubles, Audrey Whitebloom and Deborah Choi defeated Amanda von Taube and Gabriela Contino by a score of 8-6.

Caroline Lippe posted the only win in singles play as she defeated Contino, 6-0, 6-2. Seabra had a marathon match at number five flight singles against von Taube. After dropping the first set 6-4, she won the second set 7-6 via a 7-4 tiebreaker. In the super set, she dropped the match by a 10-6 score. 

Ursinus goes to F&M on Saturday, its final road trip of the season.
