COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Visiting Muhlenberg took four of six singles matches and two of three doubles flights in a 6-3 win over Ursinus Thursday afternoon in Centennial Conference women’s tennis play.
The Bears got a win at number three doubles as sophomore Jimena Talavera (Rockville, Md./Walter Johnson) and freshman Jessica Tyrrell (Shamong, N.J./Seneca) defeated Chelsey Waldron and Deniz Uzel, 8-1.
At number five singles, senior Leah Stambaugh (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) defeated Chelsey Waldron, 7-5, 6-1, while freshman Chelsea Carman (Novato, Calif./North Bay Marin School) defeated Uzel, 6-2, 6-1 at number six singles.
Ursinus (3-5, 0-2 Centennial) is at Dickinson on Monday.
