LANCASTER, PA. - After helping lead the Bears to a 107-78 victory over Cabrini, Ursinus Senior Sophie Lear earned Centennial Conference Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week, announced by the Conference Tuesday Morning.  

Lear collected two individual wins against Cabrini in the 200 free (1:58.49) and 50 free (25.37). The Lancaster, Pennsylvania native has carved her name into Ursinus swimming All-Time Top-10 list for her times in the 200 IM, 50 and 100 freestyle. She also currently ranks 4th all–time in the 200 IM with a time of 2:08.80.  

Lear ranks first all-time in the 50 free with a time of 23.45. Earlier this season, she posted a time of 51.67 in the 100 free that currently ranks second all-time.  

The Bears will return to action January 22 as they host Washington College for a Senior Night meet.
