Swimming Programs Named CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams

NORFOLK, Va. – The Ursinus College men's and women's swimming teams were among 547 that were named College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America teams. The award recognizes programs that achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2015 fall semester.

The 547 teams honored for their work in the classroom this fall were 40 more than were recognized last year, and they represent a total of 354 colleges and universities. Sixty-one percent of all collegiate women's teams earned a 3.0 GPA or higher, while forty-three percent of men's programs reached the mark.

Both the Ursinus women – currently ranked No. 20 in the CSCAA Division III poll and winners of 36 consecutive dual meets – and men were among six Centennial Conference programs to be named a Scholar All-America team.

The Bears are back in the pool on Saturday, January 30, when they welcome Washington College to Elliott Pool for a Centennial Conference showdown.
