COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's swimming team hosted the York College Spartans on Saturday in a non-conference matchup. The Bears came out with the win 142-120.

The team of freshman Anne Ludwig (Southborough, Mass./Algonquin Regional), sophomore Eva Russell (Oakdale, N.Y./Connetquot), senior Danielle Yentz (Springfield, Pa./Springfield), and junior Lianna Foster-Bey (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax HS) won the 400 medley relay with a time of 4:17.76 to start the meet.

Sophomore Molly Serfass (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock HS) took top honors by winning the 1000 freestyle. Freshman Amanda Lucock (Barrington, R.I./Barrington) took second place in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:33.90.

Sophomore Malena Lair Ferrari (Bethesda, Md./The German School) finished first at 1:02.15 in the 100 backstroke with Yentz taking second at 1:07.02. Foster-Bey took first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:13.42.

Freshman Rebecca Schroll (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) won the 200 butterfly at a time of 2:24.01 with Russell finishing second at 2:28.05.

Ludwig won the 50 freestyle with a time of 26.12.  Freshman Chelsea Kozior (Holland, Pa./Council Rock HS South) took a close second place in the 100 freestyle at 57.80.

Yentz won the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:21.56 and finished second in the 200 IM at 2:26.81.

Russell added to the lead by winning the 500 freestyle at a time of 5:31.77.  Schroll took second in the 100 butterfly at 1:04.46.

The Bears cemented their victory by winning the 400 freestyle relay with a team of Serfass, Foster-Bey, Ludwig and Kozior finishing with a time of 3:53.98.
