COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus Women's Swimming team tallied its first win of the season Saturday, defeating visiting Lycoming College by a score of 110-92.    

Ursinus obtained its first points with a win in the 1000 freestyle, with sophomore Molly Serfass (Willamsport, Pa./Loyalsock), sporting a time of 11:31.91.  Junior Kaylani Wertman (Allentown, Pa./William Allen) finished third with a time of 11:49.39.

The Bears scored again immediately after in the 200 freestyle with sophomore Malena Lair Ferrari (Bethesda, Md./The German School) posting a time of 2:00.05 and freshman Chelsea Kozior (Holland, Pa./Council Rock South) sporting a time of 2:05.02 in second.

In the 50 freestyle, the Bears' Anne Ludwig (Southborough, Ma./Algonquin Regional) placed first with a 25.68 and junior Lianna Foster-Bay (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax) finished second with a time of 25.88.

In the 200 yard individual medley, Ursinus' Eva Russel (Oakdale, N.Y./Connetquot) placed first with a time of 2:21.08.  The Bears' Danielle Yentz placed fourth with a time of 2:27.09.

Ursinus also captured the 100 butterfly, with Lair-Ferrari posting a time of 1:01.93 and Rebecca Schroll (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) recording a time of 1:03.92.

In the 100 freestyle, the Bears' Chelsea Kozior placed first with a time of 56.36 and Foster-Bey placed third with a time of 57:00.

In the 100 backstroke, Ludwig once again placed for Ursinus, posting a time of 1:03.30.  Teammate Danielle Yentz placed third in the heat with a time of 1:08.20.

Ursinus picked up the 500 freestyle, with sophomore Molly Serfass (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock) placing first with a time of 5:36.63 and freshman Margo Randelman (Palm Harbor, FL/Palm Harbor University) finishing third with a time of 5:46.65.
