Women's Swimming defeats York (Pa.)

YORK, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's swimming team returned back a tough Florida training trip on Thursday, and defeated York (Pa.) in a non-conference meet on Saturday by a 143-114 score.

In the individual events, freshman Malena Lair Ferrari (Bethesda, Md./The German School) took the top spot in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 11:02.38, also winning the 200 butterfly at 2:18.46.

Freshman Bryn O'Neill (Lower Gwynedd, Pa./Germantown Academy) won the 200 free with a time of 2:02.05, with junior Danielle Yentz (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) winning the 100 back at 1:03.59 and the 200 back at 2:19.31.

Freshman Eva Russell (Oakdale, N.Y./Connetquot) won the 200 breast at 2:35.14 and the 100 breast at 1:13.41.

Sophomore Lianna Foster-Bey (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax) won the 50 free at 25.63, with sophomore Sarah Kolosky (Fishkill, N.Y./Our Lady of Lourdes) winning the 100 free at 57.50.

The team of Jeannie Weaver, Russell, Kelsey Yoo and Foster-Bey won the 200 medley relay at 2:00.28.
