Women's Swimming tripped up at Gettysburg

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's swimming team was defeated by Gettysburg on Saturday afternoon by a 123-84 score.

Freshman Malena Lair Ferrari (Bethesda, Md./The German School) continued her strong freshman season as she won the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:58.86, the 100 fly at 1:01.87 and the 500 free at 5:23.69.

Freshman Eva Russell (Oakdale, N.Y./Connetquot) won the 200 IM with a time of 2:17.15, while senior Bridget Winn (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) captured the 100 breaststroke at 1:09.77.

In the relays, sophomore Jeannie Weaver (Mays Landing, N.J./Oakcrest), Winn, freshman Regina Shetler (Morrestown, N.J./Moorestown) and sophomore Sarah Kolosky (Fishkill, N.Y./Our Lady of Lourdes) finished second in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:55.09, while the team of Kolosky, Weaver, sophomore Lianna Foster-Bey (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax) and freshman Molly Searfass (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock) took second in the 200 free relay with a mark of 1:46.64.
