Ascolese Steps Down as Women's Soccer Head Coach

COLLEGEVILLE – Aileen Ascolese, who spent the last five years as head coach of the Ursinus College women's soccer team, has stepped down to pursue other opportunities.

 

Ascolese compiled an 18-40-9 overall record in four seasons as the head coach of the Bears women's soccer team. She led Ursinus to their first winning season in three years during the 2018 campaign with an 8-7-2 record. Ascolese coached six All-Centennial selections during her time in Collegeville. Her team also exceled in the classroom as the team earned a pair of United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Awards.

 

"I want to thank Aileen Ascolese for all she has done for our women's soccer program," Ursinus Director of Athletics Laura Moliken said. "She has helped to create a solid foundation upon which we can continue to build. I am especially grateful for her time, effort, and energy given to the program."

 

Ursinus will begin the search for Ascolese's replacement immediately.
