Women's Soccer Edged at Muhlenberg in Season Finale

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's soccer team saw its season come to an end with a 1-0 Centennial Conference defeat at the hands of Muhlenberg on Saturday night.

Seniors Courtney Sullivan, Jacqueline Smiler, Erin Farrell, Jeannie Jasinski, Kelly Rosen, Katie O'Shea, and Lauren Verso all played their final collegiate match for the Bears (6-9-1, 3-6-0). Despite an 11-6 advantage in shots and a 5-2 margin in corner kicks, Alyssa Rose's header in the 7th minute was enough for Muhlenberg (6-7-3, 2-4-3) to hang on in its own season finale.

Verso attempted two shots for Ursinus, with Jasinski and Smiler offering one apiece. Junior Phoebe Shoap led the visitors with three shots.

Libby Juliano stopped three shots to earn the shutout for Muhlenberg.

Sullivan finished with two saves in her last game between the pipes. She leaves Ursinus ranked third in career saves (270) and second in shutouts (15). Jasinski is fourth all-time in goals (22) and sixth in points (47), while Farrell recorded career totals of 15 goals and 10 assists.
