Eastern doubles up Women's Soccer, 4-2
COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Eastern University junior forward Emily Cole scored three goals, and had an assist, as the Eagles (7-10-1) upended Ursinus (11-5) 4-2 in women's soccer play Tuesday night.
 
Cole scored in the 38th, 49th, and 66th minutes for the Eagles, while junior Hannah Bomberger scored on a Cole assist at 84:02.
 
Ursinus got goals from junior midfielder Jeannie Jasinski and freshman forward Mackenzie Groff, with Groff's coming at 70 minutes even to put the Bears within one at 3-2. Jasinski, who scored at 66:14 on an assist from junior Jacqueline Smiler, got the Bears on the board before Groff scored on an assist from junior forward Erin Farrell.
 
Ursinus owned a 27-18 shot advantage, but, Eastern freshman goalkeeper Adrianna Swinehart made nine saves for the Eagles.
 
For Ursinus, who will host Muhlenberg on Saturday, sophomore goalkeeper Marisa Kalkstein made four saves in 70 minutes, while junior Courtney Sullivan made one save in the final 20 minutes.
